The KPMG Lentemarathon Amstelveen proudly welcomes Zorg en Zekerheid as its new partner. The regional health insurer will serve as title sponsor for two of the event’s most popular races: the Half Marathon and the brand-new 5K Night Run. Together, both organizations share one goal; to get as many people as possible moving.
With thousands of participants and spectators, the KPMG Lentemarathon has grown into a vibrant running event that connects the entire region. The involvement of Zorg en Zekerheid aligns perfectly with that mission. Through its focus on prevention and healthy lifestyles, the insurer aims to encourage people to stay active, move together, and make conscious choices for their health.
“The Lentemarathon perfectly shows how fun and unifying movement can be,” says Casper van den Bergh, Division Manager at Zorg en Zekerheid. “It fits seamlessly with our ambition to help people live healthier lives — not by waiting until someone gets sick, but by promoting prevention and physical activity. As a health insurer, we support many initiatives that foster healthy living. Running is great for both body and mind: it boosts your fitness and reduces stress. We’re proud to link our name to such a positive event.”
Event organizer Roy van Damme adds: “We’re proud to have Zorg en Zekerheid on board. They truly embody what our event stands for: moving together — at every level, for every age.”
‘Zorg en Zekerheid’ 5K Night Run
New this year is the 5K Night Run, moving the 5-kilometer distance to Saturday evening and introducing a completely new experience.
“We want to motivate even more people to get active,” explains Van Damme. “By transforming the 5K into a Night Run filled with music, lights, and fun, we’re making participation even more accessible. It’s a great opportunity for local businesses and residents along the route to join in and help create a festive atmosphere.”
The 5K Night Run takes place on Saturday, March 14, from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM, followed by a lively post-run drink at Stadsplein Amstelveen until 10:00 PM. Participants can choose between a competitive start wave for fast runners or one of the fun waves, designed for everyone who simply wants to enjoy the atmosphere and the dazzling light spectacle along the course.
