Only the 300-metre race for ages 2–3 allows a parent or carer to run alongside. Older children run independently.
A DISTANCE
JUST FOR YOU.
Ages 2–3 · 300 metres
New for 2027. Starts at 16:00. A parent or carer runs alongside. A first finish to share.
Ages 4–6 · 500 metres
Starts at 16:30. Children run independently; parents and carers cheer from the sidelines.
Ages 7–12 · 1 kilometre
Starts at 17:00. Their own kilometre, run independently. The aim is enjoyment, not the fastest time.

The Kids Run takes place in Amstelveen’s city centre. Family and friends can cheer along the route. Hello Kids Radio provides entertainment around the Kids Run.
No official timing. A medal for everyone. Parents run alongside only in the 300-metre race for ages 2–3.

Before the start
Choose the age category and its start time: 16:00, 16:30 or 17:00. Arrive at the city centre in good time.
Together or independently?
Only children aged 2–3 run with a parent or carer. The 4–6 and 7–12 age groups run independently.
Race bib
Your confirmation email explains how to receive or collect the race bib. Check this before coming to the event.
After the finish
Every participant receives a medal. Agree in advance where you will meet afterwards.

Can I run with my child?
Only in the 300-metre race for ages 2–3. Children aged 4–6 and 7–12 run independently; you can cheer from the sidelines.
Is the race timed?
No. The Kids Run is about enjoyment and movement. Every participant receives a medal.
