FOR THAT FINISH-LINE SMILE
Start & finish
Help around the start pens and finish exit, hand out medals or water, and help clear up afterwards. Be part of the moments participants have been working towards.
A good fit if you enjoy helping people and keeping things organised.
A WARM WELCOME
Race information desk
Help participants with their race numbers and practical questions. Handle participant details carefully and help runners get ready for their start.
A good fit if you work accurately and are comfortable using a computer.
LOOK AFTER THE TEAM
Volunteer welcome desk
Welcome fellow volunteers, check them in and help hand out and collect equipment. Help everyone find their way to the right place.
A good fit if you are welcoming and enjoy organising things.
MAKE A DIFFERENCE ON THE COURSE
Course & refreshment stations
Help at a refreshment station or with setting up and clearing the course. There are also cycling roles supporting the first or last runners. Let us know which task suits you.
A good fit if you enjoy being outdoors and getting involved.
HELP THE EVENT RUN SMOOTHLY
Event traffic controller
Manage traffic around the course and help residents and passers-by with information. This role requires training in advance. The organiser will coordinate your position and preparation with you.
A good fit if you communicate clearly and stay attentive.
CAPTURE THE DAY
Photography & social media
Capture the atmosphere, volunteers and achievements as a photographer. Or help the social media team share the event with people along the course and at home. Tell us about your experience and preference.
A good fit if you have an eye for stories and memorable moments.
Happy to help wherever needed? Let us know you are flexible. You do not need to choose a specific role yet; tell us what you enjoy and when you are available.
A DAY TO LEAVE YOU SMILING TOO
RIGHT THERE.
AT THEIR BIG MOMENT.
Meet new people, help runners enjoy their day and work together on an event Amstelveen can be proud of. You do not need to be a runner to belong here.
For you: coffee/tea, a packed lunch and a drink afterwards. There will also be a gift, to be announced later.
We will coordinate your task, location and preparation with you.

A FEW FINAL DETAILS
GOOD TO
KNOW.
Do I need to be a runner?
No. Many roles involve welcoming, helping, organising or capturing the day. Choose a role that suits what you enjoy and tell us about your experience. For a cycling role, we will discuss what the task involves.
How long is a shift?
This depends on your role and the schedule. Tell us which day and times you are available. The organiser will coordinate your exact shift, location and preparation with you. Event times are not necessarily your shift times.
Can I volunteer with my club or a group?
Yes, clubs and other groups can sign up too. Contact us with your group name, expected number of volunteers and availability. Together, we will explore suitable tasks.
Will I receive instructions?
The organiser will coordinate your task and preparation with you. Event traffic controllers need training in advance. Tell us when signing up if you already have experience.
What if I am not sure which role suits me?
Tell us what you enjoy, your experience and when you can help. You can also join as a flexible volunteer where extra hands are needed. Traffic control requires the appropriate preparation.
