GREEN ZONE · AMSTERDAMSE BOS

ENJOY THE FOREST.
LEAVE IT CLEAN.

Among the trees, at the start of spring. Amsterdamse Bos makes your KPMG Lentemarathon special. In the Green Zone, we look after nature together: keep your rubbish with you until you reach a bin.

A beautiful route for you. A clean forest for everyone.

SMALL ACTIONS. A BIG DIFFERENCE.

THREE SIMPLE STEPS.
A CLEANER FOREST.

01

Keep your wrappers

Put empty gels and wrappers in a pocket, running belt or vest. Keep the small torn-off tab with you too.

02

Keep the forest clean

Drop nothing on the ground: no cups, gels or wrappers. Keep banana skins and other food waste with you too.

03

Use a bin

Bins are provided at the beginning and end of the Green Zone. Put your rubbish in them. In between, keep it with you.

WE ARE GUESTS IN NATURE

YOUR RUN IS TODAY.
THE FOREST STAYS.

For the wildlife, the landscape and everyone who comes here each day. Help us protect this special part of the course.

No litter on the ground

Our course officials supervise the route. Anyone who drops litter risks a €150 fine and disqualification. Follow the officials’ instructions.

Before you start: set aside a small bag or a pocket in your running belt for empty wrappers.

GOOD TO KNOW

READY FOR
THE GREEN ZONE.

Where is the Green Zone?

The Green Zone is the part of the course through Amsterdamse Bos. Check the route on your distance page. Each distance follows its own route.

Can I use an energy gel in the Green Zone?

Yes. What matters is what you do with the wrapper: keep it, including the torn-off tab, and put it in a bin.

Does this apply outside the Green Zone too?

Yes. Please keep the entire course clean. In Amsterdamse Bos we give this extra attention because we are guests in nature.
